1. Human
Ever since the moment the sperm and egg came together, I've been human. From that moment forward, I've had the same kind of DNA and the same number of chromosomes as you, mom and dad. I may look different than a newborn, but then again a newborn looks different than a big kid. I'm just at the beginning of my life, and I've got a lot of growing to do!
2. Alive
I may not be able to breathe on my own yet, but I am alive. My cells are multiplying, and I'm growing more and more with each passing second. After only 3 weeks, my blood vessels, spine, nervous system, and brain have already begun to develop. By 8 weeks, I have all my organs, arms, legs, and a beating heart. To learn more about how I'm developing, read this.
3. Unique
I may be a lot like my mom and dad, but I'm definitely unique. And even though I live inside of my mom right now, I'm definitely my own person. My individual DNA has already determined my sex, the color of my eyes, and the pattern of my very own fingerprints, which are already developing after only 10 weeks. Some day when I'm older and I've had more time to grow and develop, it will be easier to see just how special and different I am.
